Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Hills Prints, an Australian business operating at hillsprints.app. By placing an order or using the site you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.

1. What we make

Custom map posters rendered from GPS activity data you provide (Strava, GPX upload, or a map you configure on the site). Print orders are fulfilled by our partner Gelato. Digital orders are delivered as high-resolution PDFs.

2. Pricing & payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) inclusive of applicable taxes. Payment is due in full at checkout and is processed by Stripe. We may change prices at any time; the price you pay is the one displayed at the moment you complete checkout.

3. Your order

Placing an order is an offer to buy; we accept it by sending an order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order (with a full refund) if: the product is unavailable, there is a pricing or technical error, or the design infringes third-party rights. We do not produce posters that contain hateful, defamatory, or illegal content.

4. Changes & cancellations

Because each poster is custom, we can only change or cancel an order before it enters production (typically within 2 hours of payment). After that, cancellation is no longer possible. Contact support@hillsprints.app immediately if you need to change something.

5. Delivery

Production takes 48–72 hours. Delivery times after shipping depend on your location (typical: 3–7 business days within Australia, 5–14 days international). We aren’t responsible for delays caused by the courier, customs, or events outside our control, but we will work with you to resolve anything that goes wrong.

6. Returns, refunds, and defects

See our Returns & Refunds page. Nothing in these terms excludes the consumer guarantees that apply to you by law — including the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 if the order is delivered in New Zealand.

7. Your content & our content

You keep ownership of your GPS data and the design choices you make. By placing an order you grant us a licence to use that data solely to render, print, fulfil, and (if needed) reprint your order.

The Hills Prints name, logo, templates, software, and site content are ours. Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, and MapTiler under their respective licences and attributions.

8. Acceptable use

Don’t attempt to break, abuse, or circumvent the service. That includes automated scraping, denial of service, reverse engineering, or uploading data that isn’t yours. We may suspend or terminate accounts we believe are misusing the service.

9. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim connected to an order is capped at the amount you paid for that order, except to the extent that applicable consumer law mandates otherwise. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (e.g. lost revenue, lost data).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be heard in the courts of New South Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection right you have in the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The “last updated” date at the top will change; for material changes we will email affected customers and/or post a notice on the site.
